1. Understand where you are and where you want to get to;

2. Listen before you speak;

3. Be ruthlessly honest – with yourself as well as with others;

4. All business is ultimately personal. Your company’s actions – and words – will be judged just as though they came from a person;

5. What is important to you and your colleagues may be of no interest whatsoever to anyone else;

6. Find out what is important to them;

7. Made a mistake? Admit it. Most people will forgive you;

8. Told a lie and got found out? Expect – and deserve – ridicule;

9. Actions speak louder than words. Prove it first. Then tell the world about it;

10. A vacuum always fills with dirt.
