Do you know who is mentioning you online?
It’s 2016 and we all have a good understanding of social media, right? Well, not really. There are a lot of companies in Serbia that are not aware of the fact that individuals all over social networks are talking about their brands, products, and services. They could be reviewing the products on a blog, commenting it on Facebook, mentioning it on Twitter, or discussing it on a forum. Listening to what’s being said is very important, just like in the traditional media. Remember this – it can make the difference between a successful reputation and a crisis!
Social media monitoring is essential, and it helps you gain insight into customers, competitors, and influencers, such as the sentiment around your brand, products or services, what features or products your customers need, and how can you answer their question or solve their problems. Once you’ve chosen a monitoring tool, you can start listening.
When you find out who is talking about your brand and what are they saying, take it to the next level! Ask yourself a question “How did my keywords perform during a specified time period?”, or “Where do I stand compared to my competitors?”, and “What are the trends and best practices?” You can answer those questions only if you analyze the data, by sentiment, topic, location, engagement, source, date, and other dimensions.
It is the only way to know if things are working, and also the results can support the process of planning a strategy or tactics for future campaigns. So, what are you waiting for?
